Sitawi catcher lectures at the 13th Forum of the Network of Good Organizations that discussed the SDGs

Fórum da Rede de Organizações do BemOur Fundraising coordinator, Renata Linhares, participated in the 13th Forum of the Good Organizations Network, held last week by Good Agency at the CCBB Rio de Janeiro. The event discussed issues related to #ODS (Sustainable Development Goals). “This type of meeting is extremely necessary to facilitate the connection between organizations in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to providing a space for exchange and learning”, commented Renata.

The final document of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development – Rio+20 states that the development of goals and targets, as applied in relation to the Millennium Development Goals, would be useful in the search for sustainable development, through focused and coherent actions.

It was decided to establish an inclusive and transparent intergovernmental process that would be open to all, with a view to crafting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Are they:

1 - Poverty eradication: Ending poverty in all its forms, everywhere

two - Hunger eradication: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture

3 – Quality health: Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for everyone at all ages

4 – Quality education: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all

5 – Gender equality: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

6 – Clean water and sanitation: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

7 – Renewable energy: Ensuring access to cheap, reliable, sustainable and renewable energy for all

8 – Decent jobs and economic growth: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all

9 – Innovation and Infrastructure: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation

10 – Reducing Inequalities: Reduce inequality within and between countries

11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

12 – Responsible Consumption: Ensuring sustainable production and consumption patterns

13 – Action Against Global Climate Change: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

14 – Life Underwater: Conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development

15 – Life on Earth: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

16 – Peace and Justice: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels

17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development
