2024 is an important year for us, as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Sitawi Platform. Throughout the first half of the year, we have been looking back and reflecting on the journey we have taken each year. Since its launch in 2019, the Sitawi Platform has grown, innovated and established itself as a milestone in impact investing in Brazil, mobilizing resources and offering technical support to impact businesses that have made a difference in communities and the environment.
In 2024, we continued to expand our impact by launching two new investment rounds. The first round included the participation of four impact businesses that operate directly in the Amazon. Navegam, Cacauway, Coafra and Cooprima together raised R$1 million from 155 investors to increase their impact, promoting sustainable practices and protecting the forest. This initiative reaffirms, once again, our commitment to the conservation of the Amazon and the development of local communities.
Additionally, in August, we launched a new round with the participation of three businesses led by women: Trêsbê DELAS, Bee2Be and VerdeNovo. VerdeNovo is the first business operating in the Cerrado to join our portfolio, further expanding the geographic and social impact of our operations.
Launch of the “Investing with Impact” Course
2024 also brought a new initiative: the launch of the course “Investing with Impact”. Believing that everyone, regardless of their experience or resources, should have access to the information and tools necessary to invest responsibly and sustainably. That is why Sitawi designed and created this course, making it available free of charge to anyone who wants to learn in a didactic way how to make informed decisions in this type of investment.
