In 2023, we will strengthen our commitment to democratizing impact investing. In this blog post, we highlight the main achievements and initiatives of our platform throughout the year.
The Sitawi Platform in 2023
In 2023, the Sitawi Platform celebrated important milestones and consolidated its role as a catalyst for positive impact. One of the highlights was the 14th Crowdlending Round, focused on impact businesses in the Amazon. This round stood out thanks to the support of Fundo Vale, which implemented a matchfunding, doubling every real invested with a zero interest rate, benefiting five organizations: COOPERSAPÓ, Deveras Amazônia, Flor de Jambu, ParaOil and Tobasa. The round was completed quickly, closing in just 72 hours.
Innovation and continuous improvement
Our approach to Empathic Capital has continued to excel by combining different types of capital with active listening to the needs of the organizations we support. We offer more than just loans, providing comprehensive and personalized support. This methodology facilitates access to capital and ensures that investments are aligned with the values and objectives of each business.
To further improve our work, we introduced a loan simulator in the business prospecting phase, allowing for a more detailed and anticipated analysis in the first contacts with organizations.
Strategic partnerships and collaborations
Partnerships were essential to our success in 2023. We collaborated with more than 10 partners, including Bemtevi and Próspera Social, who contributed to our rounds, mobilizing R$ 300 thousand. The partnership with the Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives (OCB) provided us with technical and operational support in visits and analyses of impactful businesses.
Our strategic partners include: Sabin Institute, Vale Fund, Partners for the Amazon Platform (PPA), Bemtevi, Certi, CLUA, Próspera and OCB/PA.
In the area of communication, we have established strategic partnerships with various stakeholders in the ecosystem, which are essential for the dissemination of impact investment rounds. In addition, we have established a collaboration with influencers, creating informative content about impact investment to expand our reach and engagement. This approach has allowed us not only to increase the visibility of our initiatives, but also to educate the public about the importance and benefits of investments that promote positive social and environmental impacts.
Our communication partners include: ponteAponte, Trê Investing with a Cause, Prosas, Raízes Sustainable Development, Impact HUB and OCB/PA System, Hal Wildson, Black Money Movement, Marcela Rodrigues (A Naturalíssima), Gabriela (Sustainable in Practice) and Lai Santiago.
Results and impact of the Platform in 2023
During the year:
– 6 organizations that had raised funds in previous years paid off their loans;
– 6 new impact businesses raised funds on the Sitawi Platform, further diversifying our portfolio, and four raised funds for the second time;
– In total, R$ 2.8 million was mobilized for positive impact, with 115 new investors joining our platform.
