“Without Sitawi, it would not have been possible to reach our goal of 2,700 hectares of forest restoration”. This is a story of Hendrik Mansur, conservation expert at The Nature Conservancy (TNC), in a dialogue between impact partners, which took place during the general staff meeting of Sitawi, this month.
The panel was attended by representatives from BNDES, TNC and Orgânicos in Box, all Sitawi partners in different projects and lines of action. On the occasion, the guests discussed the connection impact with Sitawi in their results. The panel was one of the activities at the meeting, which took place in Rio de Janeiro, and brought together all of the organization's collaborators to exchange ideas, carry out integration activities and present results.
The joint mobilization of companies and NGOs is a way of demonstrating commitment to the common good of society. For a successful partnership, it is necessary to follow some essential practices. Among them, a true exchange relationship, flexibility and a lot of transparency.
connections that impact
To exemplify one of the successful collaborative actions, it is worth mentioning the program Matchfunding BNDES+ Cultural Heritage🇧🇷 The BNDES initiative relied on the union of several companies, philanthropic entities and civil society, which mobilized more than R$6 million for different initiatives that promote the legacy of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
Sitawi managed the program's financial resources, together with the crowdfunding platform Benfeitoria, which coordinated the campaign and raised funds from individuals. “Sitawi is a pioneer and innovator in its operating model. There was a lot of transparency during our partnerships”, reports Luciane Gorgulho, head of the Department of Urban Development, Heritage and Tourism at the BNDES.
Aline Santolia, CEO of Orgânicos in Box, highlights the active participation and Sitawi's close monitoring of the company. The deal has already raised R$1.4 million through the Sitawi Collective Loan Platform in 2019 and 2022. “The investment in the platform prepared us for the expansion. And when something is good, we come back”, reports. Today, the company connects more than 100 rural producers to consumers and encourages rural development, generating income for small producers.

According to Sitawi's Partnerships and Relationship manager, Silvia Daskal, the union between companies and social organizations is essential to enhance the impacts of the performance of both. She points out that these connections generate social engagement and allow resources to reach the end in a technical and structured way.
“We seek to connect companies and philanthropists who are genuinely oriented towards socio-environmental causes with initiatives and organizations that have a relevant role for people, territories and causes.”, he points out.
