About the initiative

About the Fund:

The Permamar Philanthropic Fund was created to raise, manage, and invest resources in environmental regeneration, climate justice, and strengthening Caiçara culture. Based on the ethics of permaculture, it seeks to promote the permanence of seafaring peoples in their territories, supporting environmental education projects, reforestation, regenerative tourism, solidarity economy and political advocacy to guarantee territorial and cultural rights. Why a Philanthropic Fund?

The fund's creation aims to facilitate the raising and transparent management of resources for impactful social and environmental projects. Through the partnership with Sitawi, the organization can focus on the strategic and programmatic management of its initiatives, ensuring efficient execution, accountability, and trust in receiving donations from a variety of donor profiles.

Impact

Implementation of the Mata Atlântica de Pé project, with 108 young people enrolled, 20 in active training, and 6 paid educators;

Holding workshops, collective efforts and discussion groups with more than 100 participants;

Support for the Children's Day event with ARQIMAR, with an audience of over 500 people and the solidarity fundraising going entirely to the quilombola association;

Production of the children's book A Mãe d'Água e o Pescador Caiçara, with a pilot workshop involving 30 children and 10 educators;

Participation in the national campaign Dia das Boas Ações Brasil, with five online rounds and more than 200 simultaneous participants, resulting in 40 new subscribers to the Institute's YouTube channel;

Institutional recognition with ATADOS awards, certifications and presence in strategic networks.

Holding the event Culture of the Sea for All, with a discussion on environmental racism and a campaign in partnership with Amazônia de Pé;
