About the initiative

The Bio Institute It is a non-profit organization dedicated to Strengthening family farming through agroecology and conscious cooking.. Committed to recovery and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems in the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan region, The Bio Institute developed the Philanthropic Fund Bioforest, an initiative that combines environmental conservation and human development. The project works to combat degradation and loss of biodiversity in the territory, while positioning family farmers as protagonists and an essential part of a conservation model that unites forest, production, and community.

Why a Philanthropic Fund?

To make the management of the resources necessary for the execution of the project feasible, the Bio Institute sought to Sitawi Finanças do Bem to establish the Philanthropic Fund to guarantee a transparent and efficient administrative and financial management, ensuring that the funds raised translate into real impact for the territory and for the families that depend on it.
