Last Thursday, November 25th, the awarding of the 6th edition of the Social Entrepreneur Award was held, granted in partnership by Folha de São Paulo and the Schwab Foundation, from Switzerland.
Sitawi is participating in the awards for the second year, offering coaching sessions for the winner of the Social Entrepreneur category, and management consultancy for the winner of the Future Social Entrepreneur category, created in 2009.
This year, the agency that will be receiving consultancy from Sitawi will be the Ceará Local Economic Development Agency (ADEL). Wagner Gomes, from Adel, stated that he intends to increase the agency's visibility and improve its work with this support from Sitawi.
Winner of the Social Entrepreneur category, Roberto Kikawa will receive coaching sessions from Sitawi, he is a mentor for the Cies Project.
During the awards ceremony, 2009 winner David Hertz of Gastromotiva said that Sitawi's consulting services made his mission clearer and his life easier. Gastromotiva trains, generates income and fosters entrepreneurship among low-income youth through gastronomy.
For Sitawi, the success of the award, which had more than 250 entries from all over the country, shows that there is a new generation of social entrepreneurs capable and committed to building a better Brazil.
