Overcoming challenges and expanding horizons on the Positive Impact Crowd Lending Platform

The year 2020 was marked by great challenges, especially for organizations focused on generating positive socio-environmental impact. In the face of the global pandemic, the Sitawi team has witnessed the resilience and urgent need for support for its portfolio organizations. In this context, the Collective Loan Platform for Positive Impact It has established itself as an innovative instrument, mobilizing capital and offering crucial technical assistance to boost the growth of organizations.

In 2020, the platform recorded a significant milestone, mobilizing more than R$ 5.6 million for initiatives with positive socio-environmental impact. This increase of 55% compared to the previous year reflects investors' commitment to supporting projects aligned with their values. With 11 supported organizations, 3 rounds of collective lending and more than 65 accumulated transactions, Sitawi reinforced its position as the most active impact investor in Brazil.

In addition to capital mobilization, Sitawi's Impact Investing team played a crucial role in providing personalized technical assistance. Faced with the challenges posed by the pandemic, the invested organizations received support in financial management, business strategy and adaptation to new market realities. Strategic partnerships with development agencies and foundations have further strengthened the platform, allowing it to expand its impact and reach.

Amazon Round

One of the most notable initiatives this year was the Amazon Round, focused on businesses that promote sustainable development in the region. With the support of USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and Humanize, the platform directed resources to five organizations with environmental and social impact. This partnership exemplifies Sitawi's commitment to addressing global challenges such as deforestation and biodiversity preservation.

The year 2020 was a milestone in the journey of the Collective Lending Platform, driving the growth and impact of organizations across Brazil. To find out more and learn about the organizations that took part, visit www.emprestimocoletivo.com.br
