Challenging paradigms: Sitawi Insights presents trends in philanthropy and impact investing

The highlight of the occasion was the launch of a survey revealing the philanthropy and impact investing practices of high net worth families in Brazil. In addition, a pioneering study was presented on Sitawi's experience with the so-called Empathic Capital and its potential to generate socio-environmental transformation, while providing financial returns.

Leonardo Letelier, CEO of Sitawi, expressed his satisfaction with the event: “Sitawi Finanças do Bem was born 16 years ago from the insight of combining positive socio-environmental impact with financial instruments. During the Sitawi Insights event, I had the opportunity to share a little about our journey in the Impact Economy. It is very rewarding to pause and reflect on what we have already achieved and what is still to come.”

The event was sponsored by the Coca-Cola Brazil Institute and received representatives from several organizations, such as the Coopasmig cooperative, Wright Capital, Península Participações, Instituto Consuelo, Din4mo, Sistema B Brasil and B Lab, Impact Economy organizations, Family Offices, asset managers, large listed companies, law firms and representatives of the financial market, such as Assets and Banks.

Socio-environmental transformation with real returns

In this study, we share the results of Sitawi’s 15 years of experience in credit with an ‘Impact First’ approach – which prioritizes positive social and environmental impact before financial return. We reveal how Empathetic Capital is an important piece to further increase positive impact on society in a fair and patient way.
